  • Am i mad?

    Hi

im 6 months post op and everthing seems to be fine. Ive just gone and signed up for Race for Life (cancer research) in London for June 3rd:
    http://www.raceforlife.org

Its a 5km run, but i will be walking

Am i mad? should i wait till next year?

When i forwarded the sponsorship link a few of my friends advised against it but i really think it will be a great thing for me mentally and physically...what do you think?

I will be asking my physiotherapist aswell.

I think you have time to train and 5k seems reasonable if the PT agrees. The secret is consistent training. No heroics.

February some .5k walks, March some 1k walks, April some 2k walks, May some 3 k walks and 1 4k walks. etc.
