Saw my surgeon today regarding an episode this past weekend of pain going down one leg; unable to move leg or walk on it for 24 hours. He said that this type of event is usually scar tissue moving which irritates a nerve root and generally calms down on its own. This type of thing can happen for the first year or two of healing after surgery.
I also asked about my lower back/hip pain and he feels it is sciatic joint inflammation which has continued since before the surgery (7 months post-op). He is referring me for a month of physical therapy to specifically target it. Will let you know how things go.
