  • SOSORT Conference

    Hello,

Anyone planning to go to the SOSORT conference in Boston? I'm curious to know if there is any information for patients who are seeking revision treatment for their scoliosis there? Also, it would be great to meet some other scoliosis patients to discuss experiences. Anyone going and can provide more information?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Revision surgery??

I had revision surgery 4 years ago at age 60. I am working and pain free.

Another scoliosis forum dedicated to revisions is:

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Flatback_Revised

In my particular case I would have been in pain, disabled and unable to breathe by now if I had NOT had it done.
    Original scoliosis surgery 1956 T-4 to L-2 ~100 degree thoracic (triple)curves at age 14. NO hardware-lost correction.
Anterior/posterior revision T-4 to Sacrum in 2002, age 60, by Dr. Boachie-Adjei @Hospital for Special Surgery, NY = 50% correction
