Hi, I have a friend w/ a 18yr old daughter who was never treated for scoli.She is now so bad that they want to give her surgery.The problem being their insurance is not that great.She has to pay out of pocket $10,000.She has dropped out of school to be refunded and put that money towards it.They are now marketing the house.Long story short their money situation is not good.As she is 18 there is no chance for shriners.Does anyone know of any assistance they can apply for??Is there any help out there for people w/ insurance who still cant afford the copay??She needs to ha ve half up front and the remainder within 2 weeks after surgery.If anyone knows of anything PLEASE let me know.We live in Arkansas and it seems the only people who can get help have to make such a small amoount of money it would be impossible to survive.Any suggestions would be appreciated.
