is it ok to wear a brace if u dont carry it around school? or should i just have my books at home? and what if you have to bring a binder or a textbook to class?

well as for textbook [depending on the weight of course] i just keep it somewhere in the classroom and only carry binders if their light.

OR HAVE SOMEONE CARRY EVERYTHING FOR YOU! [=

Thanks for the tip. I'm actually in college now and when I was in middle and high school and wearing the brace, I had to carry a backpack and I didn't get a note saying that I didn't have to carry one. My parents and I just made the choice to get a rolling backpack. They're much easier to handle, anyways.

I also did this. I am a senior now and ever since I was diagnosed (before 9th grade) I just asked my teacher if i could leave my book at home and use another in class. I still carry my backpack with all of my binders in it, but it is a whole lot lighter without huge textbooks. Its just not good to have too much weight on your back.
