Just thought I'd post these pics of my back after surgery :) My Dr. is a Genius! :) It's been over a year now, I had the surger in July of 2005. If I can ever get my other x-rays and stuff back, I'll try and post the before pictures as well. :)

Wow! If that's 3 pounds of hardware to fuse nine vertebrae in your spine, then what the hell would I require? 10 to 15 pounds for A/P from T-1 to the pelvis? Honestly, just how much does this stuff actually weigh when were talking long fusions front and back? Linda? Karen? Anybody?

Hi Chris...

I think a long SS implant system, with pedicle screws at every level, would be less than 2 pounds. Titanium would be way less.

You really aren't aware of any extra weight in your back from the hardware.
