can anyone tell me about their experiences with dr mermelstein? we were just told that our daughter will need surgery to correct curvature of her spine. we want to get as much information on surgeons that we will be considering. the surgery will be next summer

I had the opportunity to meet Dr. M over the summer at the SpineKIDS scoli clinic that was held there at Long Island Spine. He was really knowledgable and I would go there if I lived in the LI area. I live in California however and traveled there for the event. If you want more information on Dr. M and some patient experiences you can go to www.spinekids.com and ask there. It is a website that is run by Long Island Spine Specialists. Nurse Sharon came up with the idea and Dr. M founded it. There are lots of kids and their parents there from all around the world.
