  • Anyone have their fusion extended?

Has anyone needed to have a second surgery done to extend their fusion higher for any reason? And if so, why?

Mom to Jamie age 21-diagnosed at age 12-spinal fusion 12/7/2004-fused from T3-L2; and Tracy age 19, mild Scoliosis-diagnosed at age 18.

    Hi Mary Lou,

Are you asking for Jamie? If so, she already has a very long fusion. Fusion more - up or down - would be a big deal, IMHO. Hopefully she's not having major complications already. Let us know how things are going. (Obviously I don't have any comments about what happens when more fusion is a reality.)

      Carmell,

Yes I'm asking because of Jamie. I'll e-mail you.
