Hi All-

I am new to this forum and looking for help. My 12 year old daughter has congenital kyphosis. She was being monitored by Dr. David Bradford in UC-San Francisco (even though we now live in Upstate NY). Dr. Bradford has just announced his retirement and has referred his pediatric patients to Dr. Mohammad Diab at UC-SF. Does anyone on this forum know anything about Dr. Diab?

Also, does anyone know of specialists in NY state? It would be more practical for us to switch to a specialist in NY state.

Thank you for your advice.

Sam

Hi Sam...

I run the Scoliosis Association of San Francisco and know Dr. Diab. His patients seem to love him, and I know that Dr. Bradford would not have recruited him to UCSF unless he thought he was an excellent doctor. I'm sure you're in good hands.

Regards,
Linda

I've also heard very good things about Dr. Diab. However, living across the country would be expensive (we've traveled out of state for scoliosis treatment - BTDT). You are in an area (relatively closer) that has excellent scoliosis/kyphosis docs. I posted on the other thread already. Just wanted you to know you are not alone in this. Let us know how things are going.

Hi there,

Linda, your reply about Dr. Diab is very reassuring.

Hearing from Carmel also makes me realize that there are options on the East Coast that we could consider.

Thank you both for responding.
