Getting Nervous

I've just reading post about rib removal and how so many are experiencing a lot of pain and there are also some who had the operation a while a go and are still saw from the rib removal.
I'm only 21 yrs old and im getting surgery sometime next year, im also getting one rib removed, now reading about this is making me freak....
Can anyone help me think good thoughts?????
I'm also getting posterior too which makes me even more worried of having two surgeries done. Sorry if this sounds like a sob but i get worried when i think about everything. :)

I think the feelings that you/we are feeling are very common when facing a big surgery like this. When I feel scared and nervous about this (which is a lot certain days) I focus on my breathing, go to the gym (because then I feel proactive in my health), call my family, or sometimes I have a good cry and then decide to move on. I think we would be weird if we didn't feel scared sometimes. Please feel free to email me if you want to discuss this more. Waiting and anticipation is understandably difficult.
