Hello, I am scheduled for surgery in October. I have been working hard to get into physical shape (tyring to lose thos extra 10 lbs, lifting wieghts and doing extra cardio) and have started taking Calcium (I've read that this is a good idea) to hopefully aid in my recovery. Does anyone have any other pre-surgery suggestions to possibly aid in my recovery? I've never had ANY surgery before, so all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

Eat well, drink lots of fluids, exercise and keep yourself in good overall shape. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to lose 10 lbs. You tend to lose weight after surgery on your own. Best of luck.
