  • Should I Bother?

    Hi,

I need some advice.... I've been told that the specialist im going to see is suppose to be one on the best Adult Scoliosis Surgeons in Melbourne Australia, a lot of people have told me he has a manner that has a lot to be desired..... what does that mean? His rude or his arrogant?

Need some advice on if i shoulf bother seeing him or finding someone else?

    Thanks
    Had surgery May 28th 2007 Anterior/Posterior getting fused from T3 - L3

    get an opinion....

Leelee- I thk you should go to him(if he's highly rated) & at least get an opinion...When my son gets a new teacher on his report card, people always have opinions about whether the teacher is good or bad. We all must see for ourselves how people/teachers/Doctors are before we judge. Everybody's different & take likings to different people... Plus these Doctor's are'nt gods & we should'nt be intimidated by them! Ly

I agree, you should go to at least get a check up. You never know, you might like this Dr.

I've been to Dr's that were supposed to *great*, but I found them to be anything but. Then I saw a Dr that I was told was very abrupt and rude, and I liked the guy! Go figure!

My first scolsiosis surgeon had a reputation of having very bad bedside manners, and he did(we called him Hitler), but he was the best in town, one of the best in the world, he is a teacher and has his own medical facility in Europe now. I still don't know if he's one of the best, but I didn't have that many choices to choose from so I accepted how he was.
