Another quick post. Worse pain I ever had from all surgeries- easily a 9 to 10 most of the time. Doc gave me typical narc stuff and mscle relaxer, but not working well. This is a very tough surgery. sit on recliner and suffer most of time. had bm for first time since 13- so life does have small vitories.

I am so sorry to hear about the considerable pain that you are still experiencing. I know you have been a trooper through your other surgeries and expected this to be no worse. I hope you can get relief soon; it sounds like something is NOT right. My prayers go out to you...

I'm so sorry to hear this
May I suggest you talk to th pain management specialists at the hospital you had your surgery. Also, during my first week home I was allowed to take Tylenol in between my pain meds, which did seem to bring some relief.
AND although I was in pain, I forced myself to go for short walks which I truly believe helped me the most.

Oh Eric I am so sorry to hear you are hurting so bad! Did you talk to your Dr. like we all suggested? You must tell him the pain meds are not working! You must get him to give you something different or stronger! I sure hope you can talk to your DR. if you haven't already! Sic your wife on him or see if there is a pain management Dr. in your plan. Hey give me his # and I will go to bat for you!! Keep us posted, your in my thoughts.
