Well folks- tomorrow I go in for pre-op at Bethesda Medical Center for a spinal fusion from T10 to S1. I am hoping it will be smaller once they get in there.
Surgery is at 0530 on Tuesday morning so tomorrow is the last day of the board. I will ask my wife to work this for me afterward-
This is most certainly a spooky time- even with all my previous replacement surgeries. I find myself to be very scatterbrained. For the sake of the national defense- I plan not to work tomorrow at the Pentagon.
Any last minute advise for a long fusion. I have been reading the messages carefully. I noticed most are female with a few males- but I guess spines are pretty gender neutral.
I have a neurosurgeon, Othro Spinal surgeon (the primary), and a vascular surgeon. They have the OR for 8 - 10 hours. Yikes and yikes again.
May God Walk with You.
Eric
