  • Linda Racine.....

I have an appointment scheduled with a scoli specialist from this site recomendations. What qualifies these particular docs as scoli specialists vs an orthopeadist?

Next Wednesday at 10a.m. I'm not sweating yet, that will begin next Monday. I'll have an hour and a half drive to my appointment, alone. I'll be a basket case by the time I get there.....but then again the drive through major cities vs living in a rural area, will be a great distraction. If I was riding it would give me too much think time.

My husband had good insurance (has been so far) SO....I thought I would go on and see what the future holds.

I'm finding myself walking, sitting, laying and standing now twisting, raising, lowering....trying to hold my self opposite from my natural "flow / lean". Like this will help or something, it makes me more tired than anything fighting the elements of "myself".

Will keep you updated on the outcome.

    thanks for all the input.

    Hi...

Are you talking about the Scoliosis Research Society website? If so, then the answer to your question is that members of that organizationo have to meet specific criteria, including devoting at least 20% of their practice to spinal deformity patients, conducting research, etc.

    Good luck with your appointment.

    Regards,
    Linda
