Anti inflammatories

Just wanted to let everyone know what my surgeon told me. Anti inflammatories
will prevent the fusion from healing!!!! So all those of you who are post op should be especially careful of that.

Not only is this important after surgery, but you should stop taking them several weeks before your surgery.

WOW! My doctor told me it was alright for me to take ibuprofin 800 since I was 3 months post op. He said that the first 3 months were the most important and that if they [the bones] were going to fuse they would start at that time frame. Well, hope he's right b/c I've been taking ibuprofin for 3 months now along with tylenol for the pain/stiffness! :(
