gallstones after spinal fusion?

Hi,

Well, it's been a few months and I've been experiencing excruciating pain in my stomach. My doctor is suggesting that it could be gallstones or an ulcer (knowing all the meds I've been on/currently on). I have an ultrasound appt at 0830L this morning. However, my question lies, if I do infact have gallstones (which I'm hoping I don't) do they have to go in and surgically 'fix' it even if you're 6months post op? I don't want to have another surgery. Sorry if this might be a little off topic. ~Shelley

You might not have gallstones.

Sometimes they will stabilize a patient with antibiotics if that is the case;
later they can take it out laparoscopically(belly button).
