Hello
I am an over 40 male. I was diagnosed with scoliosis when i was a teenager. At that time they told me i was not able to get anything done to correct it. Now that i am older i am told there is still nothing they can do. I am in pain daily but not constantly. I have what they thought was asthma but may actually have more to do with my back. I visit a chiropractor and a massage therapist on a regular basis. Was even told by specialist that i was out of shape...no duh...hence the curved spine. How can i get my doctors to listen? What can i do to fix my problem? Tired of the run around, the pain and the problems breathing.

Hi Keaster...

Unfortunately, I have no clue how to navigate the socialized medicine environment in Canada. How big are your curve(s)?

Hello
Last time i had it checked i beleive it was around an 8 or 9...i think, not sure though. My right lower rib cage sticks out way more than my left. It is a definate S curve. very noticable in exrays. It has affected the shape of my whole body. Anyway finding out the degree of curve this week. Will let you know. Thanks

Hi Keaster...

An 8 or 9 degree curve would hardly be noticable, so I'm guessing that your curves are larger than that.

Linda

Hello
Found a Cobs angle measure from a few years ago. It has a 19 degree. When i was in last i know he said it had increased by a degree about 3 years ago so i am guessing a 20 or more. It says it is in around the mid thoracic level with a concavity towards the left side. Again Thanks.

Regards
Paul

Hello
That was an exray of T5 to T12. The lower back was done at a later date. Not sure why they done upper and lower back separately. My back also has lost feeling mostly on my right side. Can not feel touch, hot or cold etc.
