scoliosis is not the end of the world

hi iam 19 yrs old and iam from Trinidad. i was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 15 :( it was the peek of my adolscents and my world seem to have come to a holt. i went from being short to growin to finding out i had a curve in my spine. i was depressed all i wanted to do was get up one morning and my spine would be straight again :o however it didnt happen. because of my scoliopsis i stopped goin to school for 2 weeks, stop talkin to friends, became introvereted. :confused: well i changed schools about 6 months later, met new people and because of my scoliosis became self assured.however my friends didnt not despise me or consider me a handicap or anything. i have been livin with scoliosis approximately 4yrs now . it does not hamper me emotionally or psychologically cuz i have had 2 boyfriends since then and they both understand it and accept me for who iam. however i have not done surgery yet because i prefer to have if performed in the usa with more trustworthy doctors because we only have one here who does not use the new surgical methods as yet, i also have not done it cuz i dont experience pain because iam a swimmer and swimming is good for scoliosis....

cheer up my friends scoliosis could be a blessing in disguise
