Hey everyone! Well just recently I went to the chiropractors and I'm gonna start going regurlarly to see if it helps and then I'm gonna get some exercises to do....so hopefully that helps. You should really try it, it doesn't hurt and what's the worst it's gonna do it can't make it worse!

Love Always,

Alyssa :)

I'm sorry your scoliosis got worse. My mom knows this guy really good, cuz she does his wife's hair. So I'm pretty confident. Well thanks for your info I'll hafta be careful of who I put my trust in now. lol :p

The one danger of trying the chiropractor is--if it doesn't work and your curve increases during his treatment you might miss the chance of helping it with a brace while your curve is still small and eventually need the surgery everyone so desperately wants to avoid. Sooo if you really want to avoid surgery I suggest you visit a scoliosis specialist. He/she can monitor you during your chiropractic treatments so that you do not miss that chance to avoid surgery.

There is absolutely no proof that chiropractic can PERMANENTLY STOP/HOLD/CORRECT SCOLISIS ---no matter how nice the chiropractor is.

I suggest your mom learn everything she can from the other moms on this site.

i did talk to my scoliosis specialist and i go back in 6 months and he said i could try chiropractic solutions, that it might help, so i'm going to do the exercises he gives me and hopefull it will.

I went to a chiropractor once before I had my surgery and it just made my back go out rather than helping me. I have gone to a different one since my surgery and it helps so much with tightness and soreness that I get every once in awhile. I go once a week to be adjusted in my lower lumbar (below my fusion) and my neck (above my fusion). It is nice to get the pressure reduced above and below the fusion because with the fusion it just puts more pressure on the vertebrae that are left.
I didnt go back to the first chiro because he was too agressive, but I found another one who is more gentile and has an office by my house and by my school an hour away, so I get to see him no matter where I am. It is so nice.
