So annoyed with my doctor

Ok I was told I would need surgery in July and my doctor said it would be a year waiting list now that I could cope with. Its 3 months since I got told this and my mum phoned today to check if they knew when I would be having it because I've been in a lot more pain recently and his secretary says it could be 15 more months because I'm on the adult list because I'm over 14 which is so stupid!

I believe 18 is the age that hospitals consider patients as an adult.

That is so weird. Do you have another scoliosis specialist nearby.
Hmm if it's effecting your discs, i would assume they would push you up the waiting list. >.<

In Australia when you are over 16 you are considered to be an adult in the eyes of hosptals.....I think it honestly depends on the country

I'm 15. In Northern Ireland (where I live) there are two scoliosis surgeons and they work together in surgeries so they have the same waiting list so the closest other surgeon to me would probably be down in Dublin my parents are discussing taking me down there for a consultation.
