i'd just like to syy that i had my op in nov 2003 when i was 15. i've just been for a check up and everything's fine.
i had it done at the norfolk and norwich with mr rai and mr crawford and it lasted 10 hours.
was the first op of my life and to say i was nervous was an understatement lol
so i'm now nearly 17 wit one less rib and a titanium rod for company and getting on wit my life
i was in year 10 when i had it done, so right at the start of my GCSEs but this is my msg to say that scoliosis isn't the end of the world
I GOT 3A*s, 7 As and a B
so was well chuffed now at college doing a levels on my way to become a barrister
anyway to anyone having the op soon
good luck, you're in my thoughts
trust your doctors and everything will be just fine
one piece of advice: don't fo falling off three foot high stools a year after your op-it gets you another week in hosp!!!!
