Hi folks,
Did any of your youngsters complain of pain bringing their arms forward after surgery? It's hard to say how far post op she is: her fusion was done on 22nd August and then her second op to wash out the infection was 7th September.
She's been having trouble particularly with bringing her right arm forward for the last few days and, as far as I can get her to explain the pain is in her shoulder. Apart from making dressing her etc a ticklish procedure (the rolling really upsets her) I'm worried because that's her good arm and she is dependent on maintaining good function in it for what little independence she has - driving her electric chair and operating her communication device.
She's been having an 'ouch day' altogether today and we reached the limits on her pain killers.
If any of your kids did have this problem, how long did it last?
