  • Has anyone tried a Stricker Frame Bed?????

My daughter (almost 12) has had 2 surgeries both unsuccessful. Her first surgery they fused 2 areas of the spine. The second surgery they tried to put in Harrington rods and all her motor movement stopped during surgery, so there remove them and fused the rest of the spine.

Now her doctor want to try putting her in a Stricker Frame Bed for 2 weeks, hoping to straighter her out a little bit more.

Has anyone used this method and what results have you had?

Her doctor is at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario.

    Thanks..........Manuela

      Hi Manuela...

Are they talking about using traction? There are multiple types of Stryker frames, but I don't think any of them are used by themselves to treat scoliosis. Stryker has a website:

      http://www.stryker.com

But, at the moment anyway, I can't get to the pages that show their frames:

      Linda
