According to Michael Neuwirth in "The Scoliosis Sourcebook," abnormal scoliosis is anything below 20 degrees or above 50 degrees.

OOPS... just realized that I typed SCOLIOSIS in my post above. Should be KYPHOSIS. That is: According to Michael Neuwirth in "The Scoliosis Sourcebook," abnormal KYPHOSIS is anything below 20 degrees or above 50 degrees.
