  • I'm cold

My operation was Feb 8, ( I am 63) Since then, I have been cold almost all the time; my body seems to be trembly too. I lost quite a bit of body weight, and my previously toned body, seems flacid and slack. Is this normal?

I think it is normal, because I found exactly the same thing, as did also my brother who had extensive surgery after a serious road accident. My surgery was in November (age 55), and I still get cold easily. I've gradually got stronger by walking every day, but it's easy to underestimate the huge shock to the body of the surgery. I also lost a lot of weight when I was not overweight before, and it seems to be stabilising at about 5 kg lighter than before the operation, although I#ve been quite hungry recently and certainly don't deprive myself.

Hope you start feeling a bit stronger soon. I found the first 3 months the most difficult.
