Acute Pain Management
Certainly everyone who is going to have this surgery will have a discussion with the acute pain management team: i.e. those who take care of you directly from the OR. At some point. Will you see the acute PM folks in a separate appointment, or will they simply talk to you the morning the procedure? Please describe the how they plan to treat you post op, and what steps they are prepared to take in order to control your pain to a tolerable level. If none of you are to have discussions in a prior separate appointment, I'd like to know that as well. I really need as much info from your experiences so I can gauge what is being offered.
