Hello fellow Scoli- Just wanted to give an update on how my back is doing 3.5 years later.... It was PERFECT for about 2.5 years ( i was still leaning, but pain wise it was perfect) i was working out daily, and stretching daily..... then I had a baby and wasn't able to workout at all while pregnant, (My back felt great while pregnant, I had hyperemisis gravidarum and that was why i wasnt' able to continue my fitness) and lost all my muscle tone. now My littlel boy is 8months old, and somewhere along lifting his heavy booty up and down and chasing after him, I've slipped L5. I'm in excruciating pain barely able to sit.... so i'm looking to get back to Physical Therapy... But I know what i need to do to get better. lots of walking, stretching, lifting (properly) and strengthening. Having a baby makes me even more motivated to make sure I can be healthy for him as long as possible.
So all in all, i wouldnt' change my surgery at all. Rib hump totally gone. thoracic corrected to about 10 degrees still residual curve in lumbar spine with rotation, but by only fusing to L1 I have maintained amazing flexibility.
I'm sure I"ll have future surgeries... but for now... all is well...FullSizeRender.jpg
