6 year appt report

Hey everyone I just had my 6 year follow up. we got to uc Davis a hour and 40 minutes early. I had to fill out paperwork fun not. Had my x-rays taken. The X-ray thing scared the living day lights out of me. After the X-rays I went back to the waiting room. My name was called. I had my vitals taken. I follow the nurse to a room. I waited for a while. A resident Dr came in. He said his name was Dr Taylor. He it up my x-rays. He examined me. He said everything looks good. He asks if I had any questions. I said no. He then said ok let me go get the boss. I though ok that was funny. Then he went to get Dr javidan. A few minutes my new Dr and his resident came in. He looked at my back and x-rays. He said everything looks good I go back in 4 to 6 years

Kara weren't you having some back pain? Did you tell him that?

Normally the nurses asks to rate the pain on Monday it was a 2 or 3

Did he ask about the pain?

No he didnt. Because the pain wasn't really bad

it just mild pain. my dad told my mom that my new surgeon looks like a teenager. i said uh dad if my doctor was a teenager he wont be doing surgeries

Yeah, years ago mine looked a bit young which had me concerned.

I had to weigh out the younger “newly trained” vs the older “very experienced” surgeon.....so I had a variety of ages actually, and my vascular surgeon was the elder “MASH” type of guy who wasn’t afraid of anything.

For surgery, the more the merrier....a structured rehearsed team.

Some of them look like kids. Recently I have been to the University of Chicago hospital, the students of the doctor look like children.it's hard to take them seriously.

I told my dad he might be young but he inst a teenager
