Article in CNN.com today....

researchers have found that Richard the III's spine was not
humped...it was "twisted...he had scoliosis....a 70 to 80 degree
curve......"

so.....i have a lumbar curve like King Richard the III....
hmmmmm.....doesnt make me feel any kind of royal about it....

interesting discovery though....

I think someone posted a picture of his skeleton on here somewhere, perhaps the research section?

wonder how many other people in history were referred
to as hump backs....people suffering with scoliosis....

I had seen the pictures of Richard's skeleton several months ago. I felt so bad for him! From what I've read, people constantly made fun of him because of his "hunchback." Some things never change. After all these years, we still have no solution to scoliosis, except for surgery, of course. And we still don't know the cause.
