My daughter Gemma is currently recovering from a posterior spinal fusion for her scoliosis.
A huge question puzzles me though.
She suffered a birth injury called Erbs Palsy (pulled out of birth canal too hard causing nerve damage in neck/shoulder and resulting in a weak/lack of movement in right arm).
Are the two connected? Does anybody have any knowledge of anyone with these two conditions? (Erbs Palsy and Scoliosis).
The odds of Gemma sustaining an Erbs injury at birth and then developing idiopathic scoliosis on top of that are remote to say the least.
A case of lightening in the same place twice?
Any information would be very welcome.
