Greetings to everyone on the forum!

Back from way too many business trips (with little internet connectivity). Glad to see the forum going strong.

Well, it's been two years since my surgery and the one thing that truly astounds me is how much more mobile and flexible I seem to be at this point as compared to even six months post surgery. Maybe it's the constant schlepping luggage and computer bag, but once in a while I realize, hey, getting something off the floor isn't really hard anymore (it's still a bit of a trick, but it's not hard...).

Anyway, wanted to offer some encouragement to those in the healing process. You learn workarounds that become second nature. I seem to be able to look further around now with my head.

Am surprised not to hear from my surgeon's office for a two year x-ray, but maybe that is an optional thing some do.

Also, thinking back on the days before and thereafter, I wanted to thank everyone on the forum for the prayers and words of encouragement you guys offered. You are great!!!

Hope to jump in now and then to be an encouragement to others.

Take care!

Dollie

Congratulations on your anniversary, Dollie! It is always encouraging to hear from somebody several years out. People here are great - I also found so much information and support when I was going through decision making process and recovery.

Dollie,
Congratulations on your 2 year anniversary. Believe it or not, I have noticed improvements since my 2 year anniversary in January, 2013. I am still so thrilled with my straight back and what I can do physically that I never dreamed possible during the first year of recovery. I, too, hope to encourage others during the stressful pre-surgery months and during the recovery period. This forum was sooooooooo helpful to me when I really needed it.
