  • Stretching exercises after surgery

My doctor sent me to pt to do stretching exercises to help me to bend at six months. Has any one done them after surgery, and did it help?

Most of my pt was leg strengthening after i came home from rehab. I do find myself stretching when I wake up in the middle of the night, but I just do that automatically. I am now doing out patient pt, and again, my exercises are core strengthening, not stretching. Did you have any pt before 6 months? Where are you fused?

I am fused all the way down. This is the first pt I have done and it is all stretching they say so I can be more flexible.

Yes, I went at 5 months for pt. Essentally core strengthening, calf stretch, hamstring stretches, leg strengthening and balance improvement exercises. Found them to be very very useful. I am fused till l4.
