What was your "list" to do before surgery?

SARAH ~Mother of 3~ 11 year old son had a Posterior Spinal Fusion on March 17, 2005. He had a 77*, right thoracic curve, and was fused T4-L1. His curve is now less than 10 degrees* He is doing great! -

My list of things to do before surgery mainly consisted of making sure everyone involved knew what was going on and who was responsible for what. I especially found it helpful for my other daughter to know who was picking her up from the bus stop, who was getting her off to school, etc. That really made a difference to her. Go grocery shopping. I didn't really leave the house too much after Jamie got home at least not for the first week, anyhow. Have your bag packed and some things on hand like magazines or videos for when you get home. Mostly, just try to make sure you are prepared for when he returns home.
