I thought I was pretty steady on my feet before surgery but couldn't balance long. If I tripped on anything, I usually tripped big. I am five months post-op and just noticed that I've got amazing balance! Wow! Getting dressed, I can stand on one foot to pull pants on without needing to lean on anything. And when I trip, I'm able to easy catch myself smoothly, with no jolts. This never happened before.
I've always hoped to do a little photography work but by last summer I could hardly hold a camera steady. Now, I'm getting very steady. I have a little wedding photography job coming up in October and I'm really excited that the photos are going have great focus. I'm still mending and can't move fast, but by one year anniversary in October I should be ok. I'll have a second shooter with me to carry heavy gear so it should be ok.
Just thought I'd post because I'm really stoked about having fantastic balance for the first time. I've been randomly standing on one foot, just because I can. Ha! Funny!
