Following my 2yr post op check last week my on going pain was discussed at a meeting and it's decided to send me for a bone scan so I'm happy that things are on the move to hopefully find out what the best course of action will b :)

Good luck Bluestone. I hope they find the cause of your pain and can fix it. Let us know how you go.

Did you have your scan yet? What information do they hope to get from the scan that couldn't be gotten from X-ray or CT scan? Good Luck, and keep us posted. Lori

I have my bone scan on Monday.
Kind of dreading it because I have to have a dye injected then go back in 3hrs for the scan which last 30-60mins. Unfortunately we live too far away from the hospital so we will have 3hrs to kill.
Looks like my pain levels will be at an all time high :(

Lorz-my surgeon said X-ray and CT are not reliable in revealing whether someone has fused or not.

i am sorry you are in such bad pain...
i had a bone scan years ago, for something unrelated to scoli...
it was no different from any other scan in terms of being uncomfortable
or painful...just inconvenient because of the wait for the dye to travel
around the body....

i hope they find answers for you....
