  • Has anybody tried a portable bidet?

I have had lots of problems keeping myself clean, both before the surgery and since the surgery. I'm considering the purchase of a portable bidet to help with that.

If anybody else has tried a portable bidet before, is there one that you would recommend using. Or perhaps one that you would recommend avoiding?

    Hi....

Not sure what a portable bidet is, but I have this:

    Bidet Seat

I definitely recommend it. The only problem is that it's only helpful when I'm at home.

    Regards,
    Linda

My bathroom isn't big enough for something like that (not enough room next to the toilet), but I did run across similar items in my search. By portable bidet, I'm referring to any of the following:

      http://www.amazon.com/Washmate-Porta.../dp/B001BYV3J6

      http://www.amazon.com/QLav-911-Perso...f=pd_sim_hpc_8

      http://www.pilotbidet.com/travel.htm

I also briefly considered the following, but decided it would be less useful as it seems more cumbersome:

Also, that device requires a two-piece toilet; ours is one-piece. So it wouldn't work anyway.

          Hi...

For some reason, I just dismissed these when I was looking for something prior to my surgery. But, I think they might make sense since they're so portable. I hope you'll try one, and let us know how you like it.

          Regards,
          Linda

Linda, can you leave it on your toilet all the time?

              Hi Melissa...

Yes, it's meant to be kept attached to the toilet (it installs under the seat), and is not portable.

              Regards,
              Linda

If I were building from scratch, and had the room and the money, I would probably put in a real bidet.

We were going to put in a real bidet but in the floor plan that we choose there is no way to put one in
