Want to Measure Your Own X-rays?

Linda, that looks interesting but it looks like it still requires the patient to correctly identify the most tilted vertebrae. We have evidence that they often miss that by a mile, sometimes picking random vertebrae. So giving them an app to "validate" their measurement won't help them to know their true Cobb angle.Sharon, mother of identical twin girls with scoliosis

Question: What do you call alternative medicine that works?
Answer: Medicine

It won't help some professionals either

Figuring an angle is simple to do by hand, the only skill involved is choosing the correct vertebrae. If you don't know how to do that, you can always ask the ortho to show which ones they chose and to explain why they chose them.

I would love for folks who chose their own end vertebra to come forward and say how they did it. The lines they have shown are clearly not at the most tilted vertebrae. Maybe if they stated how they chose, we could identify the source of their confusion.Sharon, mother of identical twin girls with scoliosis
