  • Home Health Care Aid? Has anyone gone this route?

My fiance is getting more projects at work and I am worried that he wont be as available to be home with me. Does anyone know if I could get a Home Health Care Aid to help me at home for the first few weeks? Is that a possible option?

You'd have to check with your insurance company to be sure, but I've never heard of anybody getting something like that. Although, to be honest, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone asking for it. For the record, a lot of us have been able to come home after surgery without anyone to help. I'm sure it's a lot easier to have someone there, especially if you have children who need care, but it's not impossible to do without.

Let us know how it goes.
