My daughter was 9 years old at time of diagnosis. It was actually picked up on an x-ray for pneumonia. She had a 12 degree curve, we observed and she is now 11 with a 43 upper curve and a 35 lower curve. We will be doing surgery this year. Hope this helps good luck with the project.

Ok here goes!
1. I was 12 but we thought nothing of it.
2. Here's the funny thing! I fell on my side when it was muddy and rainy and my back hurt so I got exrays at the chiropractor. They told me I had scoliosis, but my family didn't get worked up because I had just gone through a screening at school and they didn't detect it. I then went throught another screening and again they didn't see it. Then I got a brace so now I'm exscused from the screenings!
3. Female
4. I wear a Bostan Brace. I have had it for a year and two months yesterday. Luckily, the brace is working SO well, my doctor doesn't think I'll need surgery and he also thinks that I'm probably on my last stretch!
