  • Irregular mentruation after surgery

Just wondering if it's normal to have irregular periods after surgery?

I would think that any major trauma to the body would halt menstruation temporarily. I once had the opposite happen to me where about a year ago my period wasn't due for about a week (very regular) and I accidentally put the palm of my hand on top of our burning wood stove and burnt my hand quite badly and instantly my period started. I ran upstairs and didn't know if I should deal with my injured hand or 'other things'. I do believe the shock to the body caused the sudden onset of my cycle. I can't prove it of course but it was very bizarre how it all happened so suddenly after the jolt.
