Had my first post op visit today and am now back at the hospital because I have air in my chest. I have been having trouble breathing since the surgery but chalked it up to my asthma and surgery. But I guess not waiting to see specialist right now to determine what to do. Another hospital stay may be in my immediate future. 

I'm sorry to hear about your set-back Carole, but hopefully it can be resolved quickly and you can get back on that road to recovery. Let us know how you go, won't you?

I know how difficult this is, and I'm sorry that you are going through this, but take heart. . .the problem will be resolved, and you'll be good as new.
I had a hemothorax, maybe 3 weeks post-op. They did a thoracentesis and removed about 2 liters of fluid, but the fluid returned, and I was back the next week for a chest tube. After that hospitalization, I continued to be short of breath for a week or 2, but the ultrasounds done in that period showed fluid, but not enough to warrant any procedure (to drain the fluid). Then, all of the sudden, after that rough month (not including the pain from the surgery), I was just fine again.

I know this is hard, and really miserable. . .hang tight. Thinking of you!!

well it sounds like you're in the right place to get fixed up. Better a little inconvenience now that more serious complications later.
