  • How many levels fused?

    I'm just curious how many levels everyone has fused here. Can you post your number below?

    I am a 14-level fusion.
    Female, age 38
    4 years of bracing, concluded at 42*upper/38*lower
    currently 64*upper/40*lower
    Fused T3-L4 on Feb 23 2011
    now 32*upper/18* lower

    My son is in the second stage of his three stage procedure and I believe he will be fused from T2 to L1.
    Son 14 y/o diagnosed January 20th. 2011 with 110* Curve
    Halo Traction & 1st. surgery on March 22nd. 2011
    Spinal Fusion on April 19th. 2011

          15 T2-L4

          71 and plugging along... but having some problems
          2007 52° w/ severe lumbar stenosis & L2L3 lateral listhesis (side shift)
          5/4/07 posterior fusion T2-L4 w/ laminectomies and osteotomies @L2L3, L3L4
          Dr. Kim Hammerberg, Rush Univ. Medical Center in Chicago

          Corrected to 15°
          CMT (type 2) DX in 2014, progressing
          10/2018 x-rays - spondylolisthesis at L4/L5 - Dr. DeWald is monitoring

            16 if you count joints, 17 if you count levels.

            My SI joints were not fused, but probably are now since the anchors go into my pelvis. That would add 2.

            If I could have my ex-wife”s jaw fused shut, that would add 1.

            To be honest, I have no idea how many levels are fused.

                How are you doing? Is the swelling down some? 10 weeks, you have to be doing much better now.

                You mentioned an anchor in your pelvis. Did they do just 1?

                    Yes, Dr. Berven almost always does only one side of the pelvis.

                    I'm not nearly as far along as I'd hoped at this point. I'm still having issues with lymphedema. I'm thinking that I'm not going to reach my goal of getting back to work at 3 months.

                      11 levels. T8-sacrum with left iliac fixation.

                          Same as Karen - T4 to sacrum, 14 levels.

                            61 years old--57 for surgery

                            Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace
                            Thoracic Curve: 96 degrees to 35 degrees
                            Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
                            Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
                            T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.

                            All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.

                              T4 - Sacrum, anchors to pelvis - is that 14 levels?
                              Surgery March 3, 2009 at almost 58, now 63.
