We are awaiting the appt. with the scoliosis specialist -- should be any day now. My 13 yr old just got diagnosed with a 38* curve in the lumbar region( a single curve). I am not sure what course of treatment the doc will recommend, but her and I both want to try a brace out before surgery is approached since she is in no sort of pain. I have tried to look up what braces work best for a curve so low, most I read about are for higher up curves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which brace works best for lumbar scoliosis?

A TLSO brace is typically used for lumbar curves (Thoraco-Lumbo-Sacral-Orthosis (TLSO)).
Here in the US, that is usually the Boston Brace.
