Hi again everyone and thanks for replies, I have an appointment Fri this week here with a Dr. Gelb. I was just wondering if anyone has heard or knows of them and if they are as good as Johns Hopkins? Thank you, Steph

if you go to the foundation home page, and click on "Resources" on the top of the page, you can check the surgeons listed for SRS...Dr Gelb is right there, under the "G's"...so he is most likely considered a good surgeon...

Thank you so much. Everything is just hurting so much lately. I hope there is something they can do that is not a huge surgery. I really don't want surgery but I don't want to be in pain forever either or on pain meds the rest of my life. Oh well, others have it way worse I'm sure. Your friend, StephComment

try not to worry too much before you meet with the doctor...i know, it's not easy...but remember, no one can make you have surgery...it would be your decision..and you don't know yet if it will even be recommended...
IF the surgeon doesn't do pain management, you might want to consider seeing a pain specialist...some surgeons do both surgery and pain management, some don't...
