  • alive and on the other side !!!

    well, my pen-friends, i came home late yesterday, 8th postop day and i cant tell you how good it feels to be home! this is going to be very brief as i still have little energy; it was both easier and harder than i imagined but i now would say i feel human with the beginning of return of appetite and clear head; i couldn't have kept a diary to save my life but the private nurses who came with me and my wonderful wife took copious notes; we will be getting together sometime in the future to put it all together into a coherent chronological story;
    my very best to heidi, she is in the best of hands and more to come in the future; please do not send any questions yet, i will not have the energy to answer

    Good news and thanks for letting us know your ok. Right now, and for the next few weeks will be a challenge.

    Sleep deprivation and getting comfortable are the hardest things right now, but it will improve in time...

    Hang in there

                    I just went to the forum for the sole purpose of checking on information from you. I had been thinking about you the past week. Dr. Lenke will be my surgeon, also, so I'm always happy to hear good news from his patients. Naturally, I'm happy to hear good results from all others, as well. I hope you have a smooth recovery!
