Hi All, well I'll be kicking the month off with my surgery on Sept. 1st. I have my last pre-op appt. tomorrow for pre-adm. testing, visit with the internist and pulmonologist. Getting ready has kept me very busy, which is good. Less time to think. But a little shakiness and anxiety creeps through sometimes. But, I'm ready. My thoughts are with all of you all well as you, or as you help you child get ready for surgery. These are trying and hopeful times and it's great we have eachother and the forum for support and understanding. Mike I'm so glad to see you're moving ahead with surgery! Also, I know there are surgeries scheduled the end of August and the beginning of October and I hope they'll post here as well.

Hope all the recent surgeries went well and wish an easy recovery.

T minus 4 days for my anterior disc removal, 6-7 days later the posterior fusion. Wish me luck!

I skimmed the site for a thread that has suggestions of things to do during recovery (physically and mentally). Can anyone link me?

                Take care guys

Thank you Debra! I was feeling confident and even somewhat excited today if you can believe it, until I saw Joyfull's son's email... now I am very scared and all of a sudden super nervous about infection. It is so scary what can happen, and I feel awful for her and her family.

Anyone have any words of wisdom to make me feel more confident again??
