I have not been on this forum in quite a few years. My second operation was in 1999 and I have been fine up until the last 2 yrs. I am fused from T 4 to L4.
Now my last two vertebraes have really begun to hurt and I am very weak in those areas. About 1 1/2 yrs. ago, the Dr. said they were degenerated and I would eventually need fusion to the sacrum.
My question: Are there any new procedures other than fusion, such as artificial disks in those two vert.? I have put it off hoping there would be something new. I am a devout Pilates person and it has helped me to keep a strong back.
