  • 11 week update & weird rib pains??

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted. ive been reading some of the latest posts and it's good to hear evryones doing well.I've been great. I went back to work a few weeks ago. Am only doing 4-5 hour shifts to ease back in. Also driving half an hour to work and then home again gets me a little tired. The most important reason I'm writing is because I've had some weird pain in what feels like between my ribs on my left side just under my breast. This started about a month ago. If I breath deeply it hurts-like a sharp pain- and if I lay on my right side to sleep it feels like my chest is crushing and I feel like I can't breath.
Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm seeing surgeon next week for xrays but he suggested I go to GP and get her to listen to my lungs. My physio thinks it could be related to the nerves in my back which have been cut and are causing the numbness in my back muscles which are all connected to the ribs... Hmm... It's weird.

I'm a bit worried about the numbness too.. But after reading all your posts I know it's normal.

Anyway, can't wait to hear what you think.. Thanks guys

Hey all, I saw my surgeon today and had xrays, thanks for sharing that thread Ed. It was a bit scary but luckily my problem wasn't that bad. I've still got some pain but no problems breathing. It is improving a little each day and doc says it's just that my body has been twisted in a way it's not used to and everything moved & changed which takes time to adjust.. I'm just gonna cut back on overdoing it and make sure I look after myself.

It was 12 weeks today! Yay! Now I'm gonna start doing some hydrotherapy and swimming. But I'm still not allowed to do pilates or anything else. Just keep walking & start swimming.. I don't know how I'm gonna get rid of this belly I'm starting to get! Any tips?
      Hope everyones well
