I believe my husband has thought too much about what he'll do with the task of updating friends and family during my surgery. He just asked me if I would let him randomly post on my facebook during my surgery with comments like "ouch, that hurts" and "is that suppose to go there".

That is definitely something my husband would think of. He actually did post some on my Facebook page when the family got updates while I was in surgery and once I got out!

I figure I can either laugh or cry about the surgery and laughing is so much more fun. My husband is just looking for things to do while he waits when I'm in surgery. He's trying to avoid talking to my mother which I really can't blame him!

Jen- My surgery is on Aug. 5th. I've been lurking for a bit because I've been a bit of a mess with getting migraines every week or so and a few other problems. I'm sure it's just the stress. Plus I've been taking my family away for the weekends (amusement parks, festivals, etc.).

Haha! My sister wanted to do a twitter account and send out tweets about my surgery! I wouldn't let her! Texts and emails were quite enough for me and my friends/family!

              Tiffany-

I will be thinking about you on August 5. Enjoy this time with your child. Soon you will be on the other side recovering. I am at 7 weeks post op now and am finally starting to feel alittle better. You will be happy you did this. You are still young. Best of luck to you and I'll be thinking of you. I know this is a very stressful time. I actually think the 2 weeks before surgery is worse than the recovery, but soon it will all be over. Can't wait to read your posts after the surgery!

Tiffany - I wish you all the best on Thursday, you'll be in my prayers. That's great that your husbands thinking of things to do while he's waiting, I think that's got to be the hardest part for loved ones. And it's funny that he's doing some mother n law dodging:-) I remember not too long ago a husband posted on the forum to update about surgery, I think it must have been good for him too to get support during such a stressful time. Looking forward to hearing how you're doing post op.

                            Tiffany,
Best of luck with your surgery. I'll be thinking about you. I have wondered what in the world my husband will do while he's waiting. I've been tempted to tell him to go home for the first few hours of the predicted 8 hour surgery since we live 30 miles away, but then I like the idea of him being there.
                            Wishing you a speedy recovery.
